Handsome Hubby and I try to teach our boys to be respectful, well mannered and self sufficient. We want our future daughters-in-law to like us. Each night after dinner, their job is to clean the kitchen and dining room. (I cooked… it’s only fair that they clean up.)
So last night after dinner all 4 boys are in the kitchen, cleaning up. With 4 boys, I’m sure you can imagine the goofing off and lack of cleaning that is going on. Conner and Mitch, specifically, are the goofiest. They are screwing around, not cleaning and are jawing at each other over who should be doing which job.
Conner: “Aw, shut up Mitch!”
Devin: (handling the situation as only an 18 year old big brother in charge can) “Hey, hey, hey! That’s ‘shut up’ please.”
Slowly…they’re getting it 🙂 I can only imagine a house full of boys.
HAHA!!!!
Good for you having helpers. I’m gonna do that too as soon as my kiddos can reach the sink!
Awwww! Way to go, Devin! So. Does he have a job yet, then?
My mom always told us to not say “shut up”, but rather to say “Be Quiet” forcefully. So, following our ever sarcastic natures, you could often hear any one of us yelling “Be quiet forcefully”…
I would have smacked myself.
Way to use those manners!
Very funny and polite!
Hey, how did you get a picture of my daughter up there? JK. JK! She’s a brunette!
You’ve gotta give them credit for being polite! 🙂 Your boys are so funny! Love reading your stories.♥
Being polite will get you further in life….right momma?

I could totally see my neice holding up that sign. God love her but man is it just me or are way too many teenage girls now-a-days just so annoyingly dumb! As for Devin… way to go! He can’t get a job, he has to be polite patrol at the V house 🙂
