By the time you read this, it may be too late… Too late to save my sanity. Too late to be a patient Momma with kind words and a gentle voice. By the time you read this, I might have heard Are We There Yet…? uttered one time too many. (Which, by my count, would mean that some fool in the back seat uttered those words even once.)You see, today we’re off on our favorite family vacation: Camping in Markleeville, CA. Yay!
It’s 11 hours in a car with a bunch of boys. Boo. Actually, it’s not so bad. The journey is part of the vacation… Your road trip should be fun.
Which brings me to my first guest blogger of the week: my good friend, Becca. I love, love, LOVE this girl personally, but I also love, love, LOVE her new blog. If you’re planning a vacation (or have just been on one and have some tips and tricks to share) you need to go check it out…
Hi there – I’m Becca from R We There Yet Mom? My family and I love love love to travel and when I can’t travel, I love hearing others’ traveling experiences. I have spent way too many hours
fuming with jealousy excited beyond belief reading about fun family trips and great advice for traveling with kids. I have been blogging our family fun at The Texas Darlings for over 3 years and have really loved getting to know so many great friends through blogging. I wanted to find a way to combine my love of blogging & traveling and create a fun yet resourceful site for fellow family travelers and R We There Yet Mom? was born.
R We There Yet Mom features family trips, tips, and fun ideas from the experts in Family Travel – YOU!! We want to showcase your family travels….from exotic locations to the amazing museum down the street to the great tips you learned from your camping trip…. we want to hear from you!
Viv, who I have had the pleasure of blogging with for the past 2 years and met this past May (Yes, we met IRL!!) so graciously offered me her space on The V Spot to give y’all a peek of the fun we have at R We There Yet Mom. So if you enjoy it, please visit us, become a follower, and come back often!!
There is something very nostalgic about taking a cross-country road trip. Mom & Dad having great conversations while the kids are singing in the backseat. Eating picnic lunches at quaint roadside parks. Everyone smiling and playing silly car games, like i Spy and the Telephone game.
Also: Please check out The Country Chic Cottage’s Beach Bash today. I’ll show you how to make a ginormous newspaper sailboat. (Cuz everyone should have one, right?) 🙂
