Have you ever cleaned a room and then in a matter of seconds it was a total mess again?
Of course you have. Especially if you have kids. Or poltergeists.

I feel like the mom in the movie who is constantly asking her kids to push in their chairs when they leave the table.

Have you ever walked by something and done a double-take? Of course you have. Especially if you have kids.

What. The. Hell?

Gray on pewter.

I almost missed it, being as I am old and I no longer trust my eyesight.

magnetic car on metal lamp

Yep. There is a car stuck onto the side of my lamp.
The vein in my forehead was about to put in an appearance (the physical warning that Screechy Mommy is on her way) but I quickly realized the car was magnetic and therefore was not glued to my lamp.
I left it there.
What’s the point of removing it? The poltergeists will just put it back on the lamp again.

    That car is hilarious!

Even when I clean, it gets messy way before it gets clean again!

You should leave the little car stuck to the lamp & just see how many years it stays there. Eventually it will go unnoticed & just become part of the landscape then in the year 2018 – someone will go “Who the hell stuck a car on the lamp?”.

Now THAT is funny! Before you were a mom you probably would never have guessed that you would say, much less see, a car stuck to a lamp. You don’t wanna know where I found a Hotwheels the other day!

MiMi, I guarantee you that I wouldn’t have imagined how many times I would say “Leave your penis alone!!”

Yep! I feel like I’m constantly reminding them to “pick this up” “put that away”, ugh, why do I bother? It just gets taken right back out again five seconds later.

Coming in from Annonandon…. I love this post. My (male) cousins used to do stuff like this to their mother just to make her think she was losing her mind. Now, that I think about it they still mess with her when they visit… too fun(ny)

Love the lamp by the way. This is pretty cute you have to admit! Somedays I feel like I sweep the kitchen floor every hour. I can’t imagine if I had another child.

That is funny! I love the comment about the forehead vein appearance about to indicate the onset of Screeching Mommy. I’ve so been there a million times! Love your blog!

So that’s what is going on! Poltergeist! I’m just glad to have an explanation as to why nothing EVER stays where is SHOULD be. I really love the car on the side of the lamp. You may create a new home decor trend. Everybody will want one.

Hope you’re having a fabulous Friday!
