Once Halloween is over, you can paint your real pumpkins and add a touch of bling to create elegant pumpkins for Thanksgiving. Why toss all of those orange pumpkins? Add a little paint, ribbon and some sparkle to create something beautiful.

Pumpkin topiaries for Fall and Halloween

October 1, 2014 Leave a Comment

Pumpkins.  It might be a sickness that I have.  (Is Pumpkinitis a thing…?)   The only thing that might be better than an awesome pumpkin or two would be awesome pumpkins stacked into a topiary. I searched Hometalk and put together a little round up of some super examples of pumpkin topiaries that are sure […]

A chic black & white pumpkin with a crown (plus 11 more spooktacular Halloween projects!)

September 15, 2014 8 Comments

OK, so if Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King, I wondered what the Pumpkin Queen might look like….  So I decided to make a pumpkin with a crown on it. My BFF  loves Halloween as much as I do, so I thought I’d make a pumpkin for her.  With a crown.  Because who wouldn’t want […]

Thinking about Thanksgiving Table Decor.

Thanksgiving, tablescape, centerpiece, fall, autumn, entertaining

I just boxed up the last of the Halloween decor and now I am thinking about ideas for our Thanksgiving table decor.  We host Thanksgiving each year, and I think last year’s decor might have been my favorite: I loved the hanging centerpiece and the white, beribboned pumpkins with just a touch of bling. A […]

Do you love those cinnamon scented pine-cones that are sold this time of year?  (In a house full of stinky boys, I am a big fan of yummy air fresheners!)  I love them and want them on display, but I like mixing them up with other fall elements. Popping those pine-cones into a big tarnished […]

A blinged out Crow Pumpkin

October 22, 2013 2 Comments

Yesterday I shared the chic Crown Pumpkin that I made for my BFF.  I also made her a second pumpkin and wanted to show you that one today.   I love crows and ravens at Halloween time, so I made a blingy metallic pumpkin and added this fun black and green crow.  (Because who doesn’t […]

A Halloween Weathervane.

October 7, 2013 4 Comments

I had the cutest little spring time weathervane.  It was a running rabbit and I just loved it.  You’re noticing the past tense?  Had.  Was.  Loved.  That poor guy had and accident and got broken.   Since I am a pack-rat/potential project supply hoarder, I held on to the base of the weathervane… just in […]

A Thanksgiving tablescape and centerpiece. (a cheap, easy and beautiful DIY)

November 28, 2012 5 Comments

Yesterday I did a wrap up of our Thanksgiving dinner and decor, but I wanted to share how I put together the hanging centerpiece before I move on to all things Christmas. There are no rules here.  I mixed yard clippings with rhinestones and mercury glass with mason jars… it all worked together. I explained […]

Nothing makes me happier than having friends and family around during the holidays. The more, the merrier! (And I love, love, love how my Thanksgiving table turned out.!) Painted pumpkins, greenery from the yard and candles made it gorgeous.
