Scene: JoAnn Fabrics. I am making invitations and needed decorative paper.
Grant: Look at all of these papers! What are these papers for?
Me: They’re scrapbook papers. People use them to make scrapbooks, but I use them to make cards.
Grant: Mom, you said a bad word.
Me: (reviewing everything I had just said) No, I didn’t. I didn’t say a bad word.
Grant: Yes you did!
Me: What did I say?
Grant: (pointing at the selection of papers) You said…
My mind is on total over-load, trying to figure out what the heck this kid is talking about. Then it dawned on me….
“No Grant, that’s SCRAPbook paper…”
That Grant just cracks me up!!
Awwww…Moooommmm!!!

He’s adorable! We’ll have to appreciate this age when they are scared of the “bad” words…soon they won’t be.
How funny! My boys have done that to me when I said something was stupid. I had to explain that I wasn’t calling anyone that.
Oh Grant, what good ears you have!
I think I’m gonna start calling it Crapbook paper now. : )
I love that! So funny! Connie’s kids call the craft store, the crap store. I think that is so funny!
XOOX
Jen
I think my husband calls it that…
That is too funny! Those s words are tricky!
ha ha ha ha HA! That kiddo… quite a character ๐
That grant! Well…he just rules! But you already know I think that!
That’s too funny! Like “jenjen”, my kids have referred to the craft store as “the crap store”. That led to a discussion about appropriate language for a 3 year old! Nice to see I’m not alone when it comes to that!
You need to write a Grantisms book!
HAHAHA…LOVE Grant. So smart.
from now on it is CRAPBOARD. always and forever!
What a great resource!
