Today’s post is brought to you by the letter…. L

September 17, 2010 12 Comments

Scene: Grant is rambling on about something that someone did and said on the playground. Using the word like out of context has become a big problem around our house.

Grant: “And so he was like ‘Hey!’ so then the other guy was like ‘whoa!’ and like, then, like, this guy was doing, like, this thing…”

Me: “Grant! Please stop using the word like so much. It doesn’t need to be in the sentence you are saying.”

Grant: (quickly brainstorming) “But my favorite letter is L…”

They really know how to think on their feet. When Jamison fell asleep in the car (like I told her she would and she said she wouldn’t), she quickly said she wasn’t asleep she was praying…LOL!

I really like that Grant likes the word like so much that he’s made his favorite letter L. I really like the letter C but that’s because I like writing my name. Does Grant like the letter C?
