A boy and his box… a love story.

May 8, 2012 10 Comments

Through blogging, I sometimes have the good fortune of receiving a box of craft supplies or other goodies.  They are sent to me so that I can play around with them and try them out.
I get excited about the goodies, but Grant gets excited because there is A Box.

What is it about little boys and boxes?  He will play with them for hours…

I just received a box from Plaid Crafts.  I am always eager to see the fun items and craft supplies that are available.

I am really looking forward to playing around with the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.  I know it’s been out for a while, but I haven’t tried it yet. (Grant found this particular box to be of little interest, since it was not big enough for him to sit in.)

And back to Grant… he knows that boxes addressed to me usually contain crafty stuff.

Clearly, I am supposed to guess whether this box contains Crafts, a Baby, or Spray Paint.  (The kid knows me SO well!)

Oh! It contained a baby after all.  (A baby who is now 8 years old and is looking more and more like his dad with every passing day.  Where does the time go…?)

Is there a craft supply or a technique you want to try out?

Would a person who does crafts FOR me be considered a craft supply?

    Adorable pictures.

Boxes are awesome; both my kids have the same love.

Very cute pictures! A box? It looks like a rocket ship to me! Or a fort!

Just thinking about my craft supplies makes me want to go out to my studio and make something! I love them all!!

THose pictures are adorable. Kids seriously can have a blast with a freakin box. I often question why we have so many toys. LOL

Fun goodies! Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Loved the pictures of Grant! He is gonna be a heartbreaker. My oldest son (39)loved brown paper bags as a toddler, my youngest son (32) loved boxes. For them any box or bag was an adventure. Thanks for reminding me of those memories.

I’d love to try that Modge-Podge dimensional magic. I thought they were two different products by seperate companies. Uh Duh, where have I been huh? I’m always learning about products thru all the great blogs.
Your boy is a cutie, better tie him up Mom. I can remember girls coming to our house at that age to talk to our sons. Enjoy that age as they still want to be Mom’s buddy. They grow up much too quickly.
My youngest son’s boy is so much like his Dad it’s incredible. He started looking like his Dad early also. He even walks like his Dad. He’s 18 and will be graduating high school soon. He’s super special to us as he had testicular cancer (at almost 14) with stage 4 all thru his body when they found it. Besides losing a testicle he had tumors in his neck and abdomen. He’s been cancer free since year ago January and played football the last 2 seasons for his high school. Also plays LaCrosse. They’re so precious, wish I could go back and do it again, even with 4 kids. FurryKidzPaperworx@gmail.com

Yes kids just love the containers..more than the contents.
    Go figure.

I totally want to try out the dimensional magic fro MP as well!

Monkey is also in love with boxes. Whenever we go to Costco, she ALWAYS asks if she can keep the boxes.

If she and Grant ever got together, they probably really WOULD live in the proverbial cardboard box!
