Where did December go?! How is it possible that it’s Christmas Eve? For the first time in years my shopping isn’t done, and there are a couple of bare spots in my home that don’t have that Christmas magic. I thought I’d share a little inspiration for some last minute Christmas decorations. It’s not too late to add some Christmas decor, and you don’t need a Christmas miracle to make it happen. Decorations don’t need to be complicated to be beautiful and sometimes simple decorations have the greatest impact.
Here are 3 ideas to help you add a little Christmas cheer without costing you much time or money.
How about these beautiful floating candles?
I always thought you had to buy special candles to do this. Not so! Check out Inspire Me Heather for the easy “how-to” on these lovely candles.
A vignette of greenery and pinecones in a white bowl is simple and elegant, and can be created in minutes.
See more lovely images like this here on Vibeke Design. Creating a beautiful little vignette like this is easy to do. You can get greenery from any local tree lot. They always have clippings from the trees that they will just give away. Tuck those little sprigs into bowls, on your mantel or into artificial garland to fluff it up and make it look real.
How about some Christmas decor you can put together with items from your local drug store?
Pick up some epsom salt at your local drug store and pour it into a vase or apothecary jar. Add in some candy canes, gum drops or even ornaments and you have easy Christmas decor in a matter of minutes. Click here to see more Christmas decor ideas that use epsom salt.
Even if you haven’t done much to decorate, there’s still time to add a few festive touches to your home.
