There are times in every mother’s life when she feels under appreciated and misunderstood. Times when she just thinks that no one notices what she does during the day. It appears that my boys do indeed notice.
My 3 oldest rode their bikes to Target the other day, allowance money burning holes in their lizard-filled pockets. They came home with whatever items interest boys… and a card that they spied and immediately thought of me.
Since it is not my birthday, they had to improvise a little bit…
I opened it up to find:
My favorite line is Devin’s query: We don’t need to remind you to buy wine, do we?
Turkeys! While laughing my ass off, I tried to decide whether I should smack them or give them great big hugs.
I opted for the latter.
You are DEFINITELY doing something right! How often do kids, especially teen boys think of thier mom while shopping with thier own money. Great guys you’ve got there!!!
Awwww how sweet was that? For no reason they thought of you and bought you that very appropriate card…choking up here
Good boys, they are!
your boys are FANTASTIC! you have raised them well!!!! and they adore you, which is fantastic!
That is sweeeeeet!!! 🙂
Very nice indeed. I barely get a ‘Hello’ in my own house, and holiday’s? Forget it…
That is so sweet! You are a very lucky mom!
Aww…that is so sweet! They must be up to something! lol
They should get BIG hugs for that one. I love it!!!
I think that is so cute, they clearly know their momma well!
So, so sweet! Sounds like you’ve got some great guys in your house!
You know it gets even better…mine are old enough to buy me wine and one is a bartender so he can margarita me at a moments notice.
I dun razed ’em good.
Sweet! And you DID get the wine, right?
How sweet of them! My kids surprise me sometimes too. It makes it all worthwhile.
Ornery but seriously sweet!
Oh!! This is TOOOO precious for words!
Awe!!! They may be typical boys, but they are REALLY sweet! I love that they know you so well! 🙂
Hahahaha… sweet and rather intuitive kids you’ve got there!
could they be any sweeter?
