IT’S A WONDERFUL (time to expose your little kid to Saturday Night Live at this time in his) LIFE.

Last night I was watching It’s A Wonderful Life. Such a fabulous movie! A Christmas tradition for many, many people.

We also have a Christmas tradition in that we bust out the Saturday Night Live Christmas DVD along with other holiday favorites.

Grant loves this SNL DVD.

So last night, as I’m watching the end of IAWL, Grant walks through the room, looks at the TV and stops. He watches the end scene where George Bailey’s friends and family come together to support him and lift him up during his darkest hours. He watches for a few minutes and then turns to us in surprise.

“Hey! This is just like the The Lost Ending To It’s A Wonderful Life!”

Oh my. We were howling! It was the funniest thing! (Although, what kind of person am I that my kid knows the SNL version of this scene and not the real deal? Gotta have him see the real movie when he’s old enough to sit through it….)

Too funny. You should write a parenting book.

I love SNL. I have never seen this before though. HA, too funny! Oh & don’t feel bad that Grant hasn;t ever seen the real IAWL, I’ve never seen it either & I’d say I have a few years on him. It is my goal for next year though.

I’m with Shawn. Does that make me a horrible person? Please say no. I’m really not that bad.
