DIY Flowers made from dryer sheets. What…?

July 19, 2013 3 Comments

Today, my friend Laura is taking over The V Spot.  She is talented, sweet, and I had the opportunity to meet her last April.  Loooooved her!  Check this out…

Hi everyone, I’m Laura! My blog – The Shed by Pet Scribbles – is where you can find me sharing my home and garden projects, craft DIYs, and occasional stories about my cats, although I swear I haven’t achieved crazy cat lady status! I strive to live my life in the moment. That being said, sometimes I craft and blog in my pajamas, and my “bed head” hairstyle is literally natural. I’ve always loved handmade items, and am constantly amazed at the DIY creativity of my fellow bloggers out there. Vivienne is one of those creative gals! In addition to her crafty ways, I love her sense of humor in her blog posts. However, it’s those personal moments – like the post she wrote on her birthday last week – that seal the deal on why she’s one of my faves! So I’m super glad to be visiting here today! (Thanks Viv!)

Today I want to share a fun project with you: faux flowers made out of dryer sheets! Ahem… used dryer sheets! I made these flowers for a grapevine wreath that hangs on the inside of our front door:

These handmade faux flowers are a satisfying outcome from doing laundry! Hop over and check out my full tutorial here: Dryer Sheet Flowers Tutorial. You’ll find these are easy to make and can be embellished and decorated for just about any color scheme or season!

Happy laundry!

How genius is that?!  You definitely need to go over and check out Laura’s “How-To” for this fun project!

Can't wait to check this out. I throw away several of these every day. I hate throwing things out that may have another use!
