5 minute update for basic glass jars.

August 15, 2013 1 Comment

I have an easy, 5 minute project for you today.  It’s for some glass jars that I picked up at a thrift store.  They’re very basic, and I bet you can pick them up at any yard sale or thrift shop in the area… but I decided they were a little boring.

I like the look of the glass jars with the silver or nickel lids that are so popular right now.  I figured it would be easy enough to update mine.  (And it was.)

I simply gave the lids a coat of Rustoleum’s Metallic silver and let them dry over night.  Easy peasy.

I wouldn’t store food in these jars, but decorative items are great.  Next time, I’m going to do some that will look like mercury glass…. Do you have anything you can update with a little spray paint?
