In vino veritas… In wine there is truth: to drink, to eat, to craft, to live.

August 21, 2013 1 Comment

Handsome Hubby and I are taking a little trip up to wine country tomorrow.   If you have read my blog for any length of time, (or if you follow me on Instagram) you know I love a good glass of wine.

We are headed up to Napa for two days, and then will finish up in the Santa Ynez area,  That is the region where the movie Sideways is set.  (I love that movie.)  So along those lines, I thought I’d share a couple of my favorite wine related posts.

I have a few wine serving tricks, like using frozen grapes as ice cubes to keep your wine chilled.

And I have favorite snacks I like to serve with wine, like this Sun-dried Tomato Pesto Cheesecake

Or this 3 ingredient Goat Cheese & Marinara Appetizer.

I also have dishes I like to make that have wine in the ingredients list.

Wine Marinated Beef Stew

Or use wine corks in craft projects like this Artwork.

But my very favorite thing about wine?  Sharing a bottle with Handsome Hubby and getting to add another cork to our special collection.

These corks had to meet a very special set of criteria to make it into The Cork Jar.  I’m looking forward to spending some time with HH and adding a few more to our collection.

Tomorrow and Friday I will have a couple of guest posts pertaining to wine.  You can also see all of my wine related posts by clicking here.

Enjoy!

I love a good glass of wine (or 2) too! Have fun in Napa. My husband, poor thing, just had to spend some time there for work. At least he brought me some bottles home!
