Make smoothie popsicles with fruit and Silk® Almond Milk blends.

July 7, 2014 3 Comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Silk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am a big fan of Silk® Almond Milk and use it regularly.  I sometimes have, um, issues with dairy, and my boys aren’t big on soy products, but Almond Milk is a favorite.   I regularly make smoothies using it and have shared the recipe for my Chocolate Mint Smoothie among others.

There are several varieties of Silk® available, unsweetened, vanilla, etc.  All of them are low calorie and loaded with protein and calcium (which is something I don’t think I get enough of.)  I drink it straight, eat it with cereal and on occasion, even cook with it.

I often use Almond Milk when making home-made popsicles.  It’s a great way to get a lot of fruits and protein into a sweet treat.   There are new Silk® Blends that add extra flavor.  I love the Almond Milk and Coconut blend, especially for smoothies and popsicles.

Summer time is a great way to incorporate fruit into popsicles and smoothies.  Over-ripe bananas, Silk® Almond Coconut Blend, fresh blueberries and some chocolate protein powder, blended and poured into popsicle molds?  Yum!  There’s no set recipe that I follow.  Experimenting with different flavor combinations is fun and tasty, and I don’t have to roll my eyes or worry when I see Grant walk by, eating his 3rd popsicle in a row.

If you’d like to try one of the new blends you can check this handy store locator to see which store near you carries them.  You can also get a coupon to them  by visiting Silk.com.

That’s a bummer. These are so yummy! I don’t even drink dairy milk at all anymore.
