DIY wine cork crafts.

July 30, 2017 5 Comments

When you’re a wine lover like I am, you tend to have an abundant supply of wine corks.  Crafting  and decorating with them are still quite popular, and here are some fabulous examples of all you can do with them.

lots of great wine cork projects

Gather your loose wine corks, or purchase some online in bulk, and let’s get started!

You could make some beautiful stoppers….

Shell stoppers from Sand and Sisal
Look at this combo of a decorative drawer pull and a cork…
Cabinet Knob wine stoppers from Condo Blues  (Or in this case: Mouthwash Stoppers!)

And from embellishing a cork with a cabinet knob to making a cabinet knob out of a cork…

Rhonda from Dollar Store Crafts took champagne corks and switched out the boring hardware for something with a little more pop!  (get it?  Pop?  Never mind.)

Speaking of furniture…

I love this wine cork topped trunk from Mom 4 Real.  She did a cute wine cork monogram too.

How adorable are these Cork Keychains from Cleverly Inspired?

I think they’d be extra perfect for boat keys…  just sayin’.

With all this wine drinking, you’re going to want to make sure you keep track of which glass is yours…

That will be easy to do with these cork and seashell wine charms from DIY Inspired.

For a big more inspiration, you can check out this round up of cork projects from Sand and Sisal

Saved By Love Creations has been kind enough to put together a round up of more than 50 wine cork crafts.

…and I know they aren’t cork projects, per se, but you can be ready with a hostess gift when you bring wine to a party.  This Felted Sweater Wine Bag from Udandi is adorable and perfect for Christmas

and here are some great ideas for throwing a wine and cheese party.

…because where did you think corks and empty wine bottles come from?  Cheers!!  Click here for inspiration for projects you can make with empty wine bottles.

Hey would you like to sell me some corks? We don’t drink wine or go to bars anymore so don’t have any occasion to get corks. Wish we did cause I could sure use a couple good strong margaritas. Some of your corks are really pretty from what I could see. Maybe we should buy some of wine that’s made in Palisade, CO just on eastern side of grand valley, we live in western side of valley. Supposed to be pretty good stuff but we’d have no idea what to buy. Happy week
    Great projects.

Most bars and restaurants that sell wine have a surfeit of corks. Just ask the bartender or owner. That goes for wine bottles as well.

Nice post. I have heard about an organisation called “”corkclub” who are doing very great job they are collecting the wine cork to help recycled every wine cork while benefiting Forest and Ocean Conservation.
