Can I wash someone’s mouth out with laundry soap…?

October 22, 2009 21 Comments

So, I’m doing laundry (shocker.)

As I am transferring a load from the washer into the dryer, I see Devin’s hoody sweatshirt has a dirty, blackish stain on the back, near the bottom hem.

I asked him what happened. He says, “I don’t know, I must have sat in something…”

Conner, who is listening to the conversation says, “What’d you do? Shit in… Oops!!!! I meant sit! Mom, I meant sit! I didn’t mean to say that! I’ve developed a stutter!!!”

With a grin on his face, Devin points out: “That’s bull-sit.”

That Devin is quick! While observing a traffic jam this morning, my 4 year old said: “Mom, I bet all those people sayin’ dammit.”

It’s SO hard not to laugh, isn’t it?

So funny! I remember the first time I cussed infront of my mom. I was leaning back in a chair (like I was always told not to do) and it flipped me backwards. I said OHHH Shit as I fell. Mom just busted up laughing.

    Still a funny memory!

Oh my goodness…that is great. Thanks for the peek into my future. Layla is already a smarty pants and when her brother starts talking I’m sure I’ll really be in trouble.
