OK Dear Readers… a first for me. Please give a warm welcome to my first ever, guest blogger… My Handsome Hubby, or as you may know him: HH.
This is his message to his father for Father’s Day:
Dad,
More and more, as I raise my boys, I find myself thinking of the same scenes when I was young. The lessons I learned are the same I try to teach, even though I did not know then that they were lessons. By your example I now know how much mine matters, and I do for them as you did for me, and with the confidence that they may one day say to me what I write here.
Thank you for all the wonderful examples. From the coaching, to the yard work, to the brake jobs, and to the brick work. I learned that most things are not unsolvable mysteries, but simply things to be discovered and learned, and then taught again.
I know we both, by nature, assume that such things are a given, even if not expressed openly. But, like you, I learned that in matters of the family and of the heart, even the obvious should be stated openly and often. I love you. You are a great dad.
Happy Father’s Day
Love,
