Bling-a-ling….

December 11, 2010 10 Comments

I didn’t make my wreath this year. I usually try to make it from the tree clippings. However, I found a faux-frosty one on clearance at Target (my favorite post-Christmas place!) last January.

I needed to add a little to it. Since we’re all white and silver this year, I decided to add pearl beads and chandelier crystals to bling it up a bit.

This spring I actually found a bunch of mirrored, inspirational magnets at Office Depot for a dollar a piece. Go figure. I bought all of them. (I do that. I am never sure how I will use something, I just know that I will. It’ll come to me at some point.)

So I took my mirrored faith and wired it onto the wreath too.

By adding in a few more embellishments, I took a $5 wreath and made it look a whole lot better. (And I am fairly certain that no one else on my block has a Christmas wreath decorated like a chandelier….)

Of course, I do like to use actual chandeliers too. Isn’t it so much fun to take cheap crap and make it pretty!!???!!!

I would see those mirror words and say, “what a deal!…what would I do with them?…I’ll take 2” and then never use them!

    Beautiful!

I WOULD take cheap crap and make it pretty if I knew how. Next time I see something cheap, I’ll take a picture of it, send it to you, and you tell me what to do with it. Deal?

I’m with Shawn, that’s what I usually do too. OR, I don’t get em and then it hits me a few months later why I needed them in the first place.
