It’s my blog and I’ll post all the graduation pictures I want to.

June 17, 2011 26 Comments

My internet was down for two days…
It allowed me to ponder the fact that I have a child who is now a high school graduate.  Where does the time go?

DSCN4183

Isn’t he handsome!!!???

It was a big class (786 students) most of whom seemed to be award winning, honor roll-making, superb young adults.  Amazing.  We’re all so proud of him!

After the ceremony everyone came back to the house to celebrate.  And to take lots of pictures..

With Grandparents…

With brothers…

The whole family…

Fabulous Auntie Mo…

One thing that was very cool is that my childhood best friends, Eva (who is also Devin’s godmother) and Scott were there for it too.
Handsome Hubby, Scott, Eva and I all grew up with each other and graduated from the same high school in 1985. (shut up shut up shut up).  It was amazing to be able to have them here as a part of Devin’s celebration.

Good grief.  26 years ago the 4 of us were dressed like this!! Yipes! ( Weird… I don’t feel old.)

My friend Jodi’s beautiful daughter, Chandler, also graduated with Devin.

DSCN4189

Then as the graduates left for Grad Nite, the grown-ups settled in with some wine…

DSCN4190

Then things got  a little silly.
We had aunties sitting on nephews…

DSCN4198

Grandparents laughing at the conversation….

DSCN4197

Then the tequila came out…

tequila, shots, lime

…and things got really silly.

eva, la rue,

At this point, I believe that I was trying to prove that my boobs were higher than hers, even though I have had more kids… (And yes, I had to get out of my chair to make it happen…)
The day was filled with lots of happy tears and laughter.  It was fabulous.
Congratulations Devin!

You did it!!!

How fun! I love it when people share really happy family moments on their blog. Especially for a High School graduation, and all the grandparents there. Love, love, love it.

Now, no matter how much I stood up from a chair, there is no way I could prove my boobs were higher than anyone’s. Unless of course I was wearing my miracle VS bra that I pretty much wear all the time…….I am the female version of the man who wears “lifts” in his shoes to appear taller. You just think I look really great in tight tshirts…..

I’m proud of Devin for making it through high school, it’s a place I never wish to return to! And I am very proud of you for making it through the event looking fabulous and with your makeup in tact. I’m fearful I will be a blubbering mess!

Way to go Devin and good luck in whatever path you choose to take in life!

Congrats to your son. That’s amazing. I cannot believe you are an amazing mama to a high school graduate, and I have an even harder time believing that you graduated in 1985. You are just too young and fun!
