A handy tip to keep your dog from spilling water and food. (Especially great for camping.)

May 30, 2013 4 Comments

It’s almost time for summer vacations! Do you have pets? What do you do with them while you’re on vacation?  We go camping a lot and we take our dog Corsa with us.   We were having a big problem with her dumping over her food and water, but Handsome Hubby has a great trick to keep that from happening.

This handy trick can keep your dog from spilling their food and water while camping or on outdoor trips. #pet #tricks

Keep your dog from spilling water and food by using bundt pans.  Yep, that’s right.  Two bundt pans: one to hold water, one to hold her dry food, and HH puts a stake into the ground to hold them upright.
Tips and tricks for camping with your dog.

We usually camp in the mountains and Corsa’s “spot” is often on a slope.  The stakes keep her dishes from sliding away and from getting tipped over.  If you don’t have extra stakes, even a stick will do.

Check out your local thrift shops or yard sales to pick up a couple of old pans, or grab a couple here when they’re on sale and you’re good to go.  If you have a really spazzy dog, this could be an option at home as well.  Just a thought.

Do you have any tips for camping or traveling with pets?  I’d love to hear them!

Great Idea! I camp with my 4 legged friend all the time and he’s constantly spilling his food and water! I also work for an RV Dealership in Canada and I was wondering if it would be ok if I shared this tip with my Facebook followers! (linking you of course!) thanks in advance!
