We tend to think of summer time as prime grilling time, but as we transition into fall we are still cooking outside, right? It’s time for tailgate parties, and for those of us who live along the coast, we can still have beach bonfires, and we always try to take a few fall camping trips, so I thought I’d pull together my favorite recipes for cooking over an open fire.

These cheesy, herbed potatoes are easy to cook in foil packets, right over an open fire or on the grill.
When we camp, Handsome Hubby does a lot of fishing, but even if you’re in the parking lot of your favorite stadium you can cook some fresh caught fish over the fire. (You’ll just need to hit the grocery store for a few items on the way to the game.)
Most of these recipes are pinned to my Pinterest Board: Camping & The Great Outdoors

By the way, here’s my preferred bonfire fire pit: an old washing machine tub. Do you tailgate?
