Loss.

March 21, 2012 39 Comments

Devin and Conner’s dad, Mike, lost his battle with colon cancer this morning.  The boys were by his side, which is what all three of them wanted.

Thanks for all of the love, prayers and words of encouragement.

    Vivienne,

You and the boys are in my prayers. It is never easy to lose someone you love and I’m sure it was hard to support your boys during this trying time. What a great blessing it was for them to be with their dad during his final moments.

    All my love,
    Suesan

He’s in a better place. I said my piece earlier. You know I’m not good with words. You should be so very proud of your boys. Sending prayers that other situations get worked out and that the funeral goes well.

    Love you. xoxo

I’m so sorry for the loss of your sons’ father. I lost my dad when I was in high school too and I know it can be so tough. I will be praying for your family in this difficult time. Your sons are lucky to have such a great mom by their side in this.

Prayers and hugs for you, your boys and extended family. Death is hard and it doesn’t matter if “they’ve gone to a better place.” It’s still hard for those of us still here.

Viv, you and your boys are in my thoughts and prayers today. I know how difficult and touching it is to go through that process. While I am sure being there at Mike’s side was heartbreaking, they will forever be glad that they were there. You are a good and strong mom and they are very lucky to have you:)

It’s been a long hard journey for him, the boys and you. The last 3+ weeks have be more than trying. I’m glad that he is finally a peace and that the boys will be able to take a deep breath and start moving forward again. What a privilege Mike had by having his boys by his side and what bravery and strength they showed by being there. You my friend have taught them well!

    Now breath….
