Christmas artwork

December 4, 2010 19 Comments

I change up my Christmas color scheme every year. Last year was Black & Gold, this year is White & Silver.

I realized my orange Family Rules subway art was going to harsh my Christmas mellow… I needed a temporary replacement.

So! I decided to make another one for Christmas. It doesn’t perfectly match my White & Silver gig, but it’ll be OK.

“Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.”
I love this. It’s attributed to an anonymous 7 year old boy who was asked what love is.

I did this using the same techniques as I did for the Family Rules. I distressed it and put a opalescent wash over it.

Mommy like!

I am sure someone out there will decorate with orange for Christmas.
What a lovely sentiment. Those 7 years olds know it all don’t they.

Oh I love your orange sign. But this one is so darn cute too! How funny that I always seem to pick your craft or idea off of Tatertotsandjello’s link party, and there is like 600 of them on there this week! Your stuff always catches my eye.

Very nice! I can hardly believe that such a sweet sentiment came from a 7 year old! Kudos to his parents, huh?

Being from Oklahoma and an University of Oklahoma fan (think RED) and NOT a fan of Oklahoma STATE University (think yucky orange) I probably could never have orange in my house. Isn’t that just sad? I have to stay true to my roots and my roots are anti-orange. But WOW do I love the words that appear on that orange!Did you make it up on your own or steal it? And it goes without saying that it just makes me feel anti-creative to see what cool stuff you (and JELLO) can do. But ya know, I’m all about stealing great ideas..

The signs are great! I don’t have the patience for that, but I loved reading about how you did it.
