Have you met Mamarazzi and Shawn?
Have I mentioned how much I adore these two bloggers?
Have I mentioned that I am taking a little trip toward the end of May to meet up with Shawn (and JennyKate, Impulsive Addict, Harried Mom Of Four and Becca) In Real Life? And that I will have a margarita (or 6) by the pool with them…? Squee!
Because I adore these women so much, I will do just about anything for them. This month, that includes answering questions, saying random words to determine any accent/dialectical differences for my part of the country, and letting them see my favorite room in the house.
Which means that I dusted.
Say the following words:
Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught, Antenna, Rootbeer, Ambulance, Museum, Milk, Orange, Apricot
…and answer the following questions:
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped
body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry
groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you change the TV channel with?
Where do you buy your groceries?
And then they wanted a tour of our favorite room in the house.
Here ya go…
Oh. I forgot…
You know what else? I did both of these in one take. I HAD to because I can’t edit these things for sh**. (Also, Handsome Hubby came home almost 2 hours early and started asking about dinner…)
Click here to see how I made the Pearl Pedestal Bowl on my dresser.
Go visit and make some new friends. (And listen to ’em taaaaalk funny, y’all.)
*****Edited to add: For those of you who asked, the ring-tone on my phone is Lorelei by The Cocteau Twins (one of my all time favorite bands). If Handsome Hubby is calling me, it is Best Friend by Queen.
