Design Ideas: Choosing the right rug to anchor a room.

November 25, 2014 Leave a Comment

This post brought to you by Kalaty Rug. The content and opinions expressed below are that of http://thevspotblog.com/.

Any time that you see a beautiful room, chances are good that there is a beautiful rug that anchors it.  A gorgeous rug can tie a whole room together. It can provide color, texture, patterns and an overall feeling of warmth to a room… a room that people want to be in.

I’m a big fan of a subdued color palette. No necessarily monochromatic, but definitely soothing colors that work together for a calming effect.

Kalaty Rug

I love the greens and creams in this gorgeous Kalaty rug.  I love that there is a lot of pattern and detail.  It is subtle but is still a statement piece when paired with the neutral furniture.

This isn’t to say that I don’t appreciate a few vibrant pops of color in a room.

Kalaty Wool Rug in blue and orange

This Kalaty Rug is lovely muted color with a subtle, tonal pattern.  I love that it can anchor the room and provide a backdrop for bright accent pieces.

I was recently introduced to Kalaty Rugs.  I had never heard of them before, and I have to tell you, I am pretty impressed.  Not only are their tons and tons of beautiful rugs to choose from, these rugs are handmade, with many of them being hand-knotted!   I particularly like their Reversible Collection.

It’s so nice to be able to change things up.  I love a reversible anything.

The patterns and color in Kalaty Rug’s Barcelo Collection are gorgeous.

You can visit the Kalaty Rugs website to see all of the styles and sizes.

You have a chance to win a 4×6 Kalaty Rug of your own valued at $1,000. There are several ways to enter to win.
