OK, I told ya I was on a pumpkin binge right now. I made a flannel covered pumpkin, a punker pumpkin, some pumpkin house numbers and now… a Zebra Striped Pumpkin. I may, in fact, have a bit of a pumpkin problem. Thanks to zebra print duct tape, this entire process took me about 3 […]
I haven’t been too quiet about how much I dislike my mantel. It’s a challenge… all asymmetrical and weird and I am never sure what to do with it. I got a lot of suggestions to just put something giant up there to create more of a focal point. I think I found it. I went […]
Fun inspiration for fall and Halloween decor using pumpkins, both real and fake.
We ripped out a whole bunch of ugly hedges beneath a real problem area by our front door. By creating a nice vignette of fall elements like gourds, pumpkins and a raven, we were able to make an ugly spot look a little bit nicer.
Um, excuse me!? First of all, where did you hear about S&M…???!!! Second, it is NOT an S&M pumpkin… It’s a Punk-In. Some black paint, leather, studs and safety pins are all you need to add a punk edge to your Halloween decor. Actually, it doesn’t feel as punk as it does sort of Edward […]
I was in the Dollar Tree the other day and I picked up a few of those cheesy fake pumpkins. There is also a Goodwill a few doors down… so of course I had to stop in. (If I were a dog and Goodwill was a fire hydrant, there would be no way I could […]
OK, yes…. chalkboard globes have been done. I’ve seen a couple of them that are inspirational. (Can’t remember exactly where… so sorry..) So when I found a globe for 50 cents and Halloween is just around the corner, I knew exactly what I wanted to do to it. I wanted to map some of the […]
Sticks and branches are freeee! There is so much you can do with these fabulous freebies, including add spray paint and a pumpkin for fabulous Halloween decor for your front porch.
I love fall. It’s my favorite time of year. Post 9/11, fall officially begins on September 12th at my house. Americana and seashells get put away and the fall stuff comes out. I hate my mantel. It is a wacky, asymmetrical thing with a vaulted ceiling and a fireplace that is centered on the room, […]
Handsome Hubby and I decided to have a Halloween Party this year. (OK. I decided to throw it and told HH that I hoped he would attend…) I want to do this as inexpensively as possible, but with style. Invitations set the tone. I was able to snap up some silver/black toned iridescent card-stock that […]
